What are Cookies?

Cookies are small files that is simply a technology for remembering something about you. Your computer saves this information when you visit websites. Not all websites use cookies but most do. You have the option to not have cookies & you can block them in your browser settings and there are pros & cons to doing this.

What happens if I block cookies?

Blocking cookies will cause many features of websites not to work correctly, without cookies, a website doesn't recognise who you are, so when you change pages it forgets you are the same customer. For example, if you add items to your basket, by the time you get to checkout your basket will be empty. Without any memory, a website can’t do a lot of stuff. It can’t let you log in, because it has simply forgotten you!

How can I disable or block cookies?

You can turn off Cookies completely, which is a bit like banning all cakes to prevent a gluten allergy! A better option would be to turn off 3rd party cookies, which will stop most websites from sharing information about you. (Which by the way, WE ABSOLUTELY DO NOT DO!)  Some browsers – like Safari – do this automatically.

If you decide you would like to turn off cookies, you can follow the instructions on how below:
